Letter to Readers title


Dear Readers,

This unit was designed for students with moderate disabilities in an elementary self-contained class. It was created to teach these students a functional skill (fixing breakfast) while integrating technology. This unit also integrates both South Carolina curriculum standards and technology standards. A task analysis of the steps to fix breakfast was created. The lessons are designed to support the learning of this task analysis in the natural environment. They are intended to help the student become more and more independent in fixing breakfast by presenting fewer and fewer prompts. The student also learns other concepts in the lessons. These lessons are designed to accommodate a variety of learners and can be adapted for individual students as needed.
