Leslie Jones-
I am a full-time graduate student at USC pursuing my M.Ed. in special education with a concentration in emotional disabilities. I have taught for 2 years in the public school system and spent the last 10 years working with children in various settings. My greatest challenge and passion is developing lessons for students that will draw and keep their interest. Not only do I recognize that students need to be actively engaged in their own learning, but if lessons are taught through lectures and worksheets only, I am bored myself! I have found that the more excited I am about a topic, the more interested and engaged my students will be, not to mention they retain much more knowledge! Teaching and learning are as fun as you make it!

I am a part-time graduate student at USC pursuing my M.Ed. in adult education with a concentration on technology coupled with physical disabilities. My credentials included an Associates degree in Computer Science and a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I have six-years of teaching experience in 2-3 year old preschool and Kindergarten. For the past 12 years I have worked with adults at both Midlands Technical College and the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department's Computer Training Center. Putting all this aside, I feel may greatest accomplishment, experience and challenge has been parenting. As a mother of three, I have discovered what it is like to have children who are totally bored with the traditional "school box." It has been exciting finding ways to integrate technology into the learning system. Children are naturally eager to use electronics in every form so, why not use it for an educational advantage?
