Lesson 1: "Sensing The Seasons"
Using Kidspiration, students will create webs to identify words and pictures for the five senses that appropriately describe each of the four seasons.

Lesson 2: "What's The Weather"
Students will use Reader Rabbit, "Capers On Cloud Nine" to create a monthly calendar using appropriate symbols and stickers to track the weather.

Lesson 3: "What's the Weather Over There?"
This is an activity that uses a large map to compare temperatures around the world. Uses laser disc pictures of people in different climates around the world as an anticipatory set.

Lesson 4: "Weather Here And There"
The class will use Timeliner 5.0 by Tom Snyder to create a temperature timeline that compares the temperature in Columbia, SC to the temperature in another part of the world. This will open up a math discussion about greater than, less than and equal to with their respective symbols.

Lesson 5: "What's The Weather, Mr. Bear?"
Using laserdisc pictures, students will describe the climate for each of 10 animals and tell adaptations for the weather where appropriate.

Lesson 6: "Describe The Weather"
Students will complete sentences with descriptive weather words using Microsoft Word.

Lesson 7: "Weather Words Matching Game"
The students will use Animated KidsMemo 2.20 to practice the vocabulary for measuring instruments that meteorologists use.

Lesson 8: "Temperature Tracking"
The students will take the outside temperature outside at different intervals throughout the day. The students will record the data in Excel and create a graph.

Lesson 9: "Sunny Days Are Here Again"
Using weather words and pictures and "Create A Card" by American Greetings Gold, students will create a "get well" rhyming poem following the given format to cheer up a friend.

Lesson 10: "Looking Up"
Using Microsoft Word, students will match cloud formations to their correct term and highlight what kind of weather they bring.

Lesson 11 : "What Kind Of Cloud Are You?"
Students will use Kidworks Deluxe to create a booklet about the type of cloud formation they are like.

Lesson 12: "What Will I Do This Winter?"
Students will collect data on animals winter survival habits. The teacher will use Microsoft's Excel to track the data and create a bar graph to compare the results.
