Goals
Students should recognize and understand the significance of social and recreational activities with regard to the quality of life and should develop skills, interests, and desires to maintain an active lifestyle.
Goals of Don't Forget the FUN are designed to:
- Increase understanding of similarities between people
- Expand students understanding of factors that contribute to quality of life - particularly the importance of friendships, support systems, and experiencing a sense of belonging in one's community
- Provide social inclusion through development of self-determination skills
- Empower students to develop and maintain friendships of their choosing
- Provide opportunities for students to plan and participate in social and recreational activities in school and the community
- Expand social skills and options
Standards for 9th - 12th Grades
ISTE/NETS
The student will:
