For this unit: the computers in the classroom should be set up:
At a separate station that students are able to move to and transition their thought process.
A defined desk area with plenty of space for keyboard and mouse movement.
The optimal setting would allow for four computers to be set up around the room, however, time in the lab can be set up if this is unavailable If only one computer is available, the unit can still progress with ease. The students are divided into separate groups, or "wagon trains" and can use the computers in a group. The other students can be working on developing questions and researching information on their trail, or whatever other activity the teacher has prepared. Once the students learn the computer tasks, some lessons will require minimal supervision, giving you a great chance to teach in small groups.
